Ascendi Capital Inc. (“Ascendi Capital,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information when you visit ascendi-capital.com and any pages that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Site”), communicate with us, request information, subscribe to updates or submit an investment-related inquiry.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information handled through the Site and related communications with Ascendi Capital. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of portfolio companies, operating businesses, investor portals, social-media platforms or other third-party websites and services, even where the Site links to them. Those third parties may provide their own privacy notices.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- identification and contact details, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company, title and mailing address;
- information submitted through investor-interest or contact forms, such as your response regarding accredited-investor status, investor type, estimated investment amount, investment interests, objectives and message;
- newsletter subscription details and communication preferences;
- information contained in correspondence, meeting requests, documents or other communications you send to us; and
- any other information you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, including your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, dates and times of access, interactions with Site features and cookie or similar identifiers.
Information from other sources
We may receive business contact or referral information from professional advisers, service providers, business partners, public sources or people who introduce you to us, where permitted by law. We use that information only for reasonable business purposes and in accordance with this Policy.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to questions, requests, meeting inquiries and other communications;
- review, route and follow up on investor, financing, acquisition, partnership, media, vendor or general inquiries;
- provide information or materials you request and manage our business relationships;
- administer newsletter or update subscriptions where we have the required consent or other lawful basis;

- understand Site usage and performance through consented analytics;

We do not sell personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.

Ascendi Capital and its service providers may process or store personal information outside Alberta or Canada. In that case, the information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement or governmental authorities in that jurisdiction. We use contractual, organizational and technical measures appropriate to the circumstances when engaging service providers.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain appropriate business and consent records, and to meet legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution and security requirements. Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information and the reason it was collected. When information is no longer required, we securely delete, destroy or anonymize it, subject to permitted backup and archival practices.
9. Safeguards
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to protect it against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss or disposal. No Internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send highly sensitive or confidential information through an ordinary website form or unencrypted email unless we specifically request it through an approved secure channel.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used or disclosed, or request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. You may also withdraw consent to future uses where consent is the basis for processing. We send newsletters, insights or other commercial electronic messages only where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. Service or transactional communications that are necessary to respond to your inquiry or manage an existing relationship may continue where permitted.
12. Third-Party Links and Investor Portals
The Site may link to third-party websites, social networks, portfolio companies, service providers or an investor portal. A link does not mean that Ascendi Capital controls or endorses the third party’s privacy practices. Review the privacy notices and terms of those services before providing information to them. Information submitted directly to an external investor portal is governed by that portal’s terms and privacy notice, in addition to any agreement you have with Ascendi Capital.
13. Children
The Site is intended for business and investment audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.
14. Privacy Incidents
If a privacy or security incident occurs, we will investigate and take steps required by applicable law, which may include notifying affected individuals or a privacy regulator where the applicable threshold is met.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on the Site with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle information already collected, we will take additional steps where required by law.
